The creators of the well-known tap-to-earn fighting game MemeFi on Telegram have revealed a move to the Sui network, along with further information on the impending token launch, just weeks prior to its airdrop and token launch. The developers announced on Friday that the game's currency will launch on layer-1 network Sui, replacing the Ethereum layer-2 scaling network Linea, where MemeFi was previously being developed. The developers stated that they had collaborated with Mysten Labs, the company that created the Sui network, on strategic activities related to the launch, such as marketing campaigns and plans to highlight the larger Sui ecosystem. The Telegram message says, "MemeFi will help Sui integrate into Telegram (and the plans are huge!)." "The airdrop campaign and in-app features will help you get used to Sui—you'll see firsthand how quick, affordable, and seamless it truly is."

Following the network adjustment, the MEMEFI token launch has now been set for November 12, with an on-chain claim planned. MemeFi had planned to debut the token on October 9, but that declared date came and went amid apparent behind-the-scenes maneuvers. On November 6, MemeFi will take a last look at player activity to decide how to distribute tokens during the airdrop. Although the developers will reveal the final allocations on November 8, players may currently "pre-check" their allocation using OKX Wallet based on incomplete data. OKX said that it has started pre-market trading for the MEMEFI token on its futures platform, allowing traders to wager on the ultimate price of the Sui token, in addition to the migration announcement and airdrop data.
